clex software package provides command line file manager which uses the ncurses library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install clex
clex is installed in your system.
Make ensure the clex package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep clex *
You will get with clex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
